Nick began coaching competitive soccer shortly after beginning his professional playing career in Kansas City and fell in love sharing his knowledge of the game with players of all abilities. In 2009, Nick earned his B license from the United States Soccer Federation. Upon retiring from 11 years in Major League Soccer, Nick returned back to Kansas City where he assumed the Executive Director role of a competitive club in a Kansas City suburb. In early 2012, Nick joined Brookside Soccer Club as their new Executive Director, overseeing some 2300 players on both the recreational and competitive sides. Today, he oversees the day to day operations of Brookside Soccer Club and is in charge of the strategic growth and development of all things soccer.
Nick is married to wife Dr. MeLinda Garcia. They have 2 wonderful boys; Cruz and Axle and reside in a suburb of Kansas City. He has spent many hours and years volunteering for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Jackson County CASA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Mattie Rhodes Center and Teammates for Kids.
