Soccer For The City™

Spring Camps

Our camps foster great appreciation of the game through fun, exciting and engaging activities. We do this with both large- and small-group activities. Our unique curriculum will familiarize youth players of proper techniques and increase the skill level of players from 2 to 16 at The Soccer Lot, 2525 Jefferson, KCMO.

Camps will be led by Tato Chiaparro and a staff of local college soccer players. Coach Tato is a competitive coach and Youth Development Director for Brookside Soccer Club, has worked with the men’s soccer team at UMKC and their camps and played professional futsal in the U.S. and Brazil.

Camps and clinics are available for all soccer players: recreational, competitive and non-club kids.

Pre-Season Camp

Fridays — March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30

The Soccer Lot

4-5 pm

Pre-Season Recreational Camp prepares players for the upcoming season. It’s designed to teach rec kids the fundamentals of soccer with more coordination-specific drills. With individual and team exercises, the camp helps kids understand the game on and off the field. It’s perfect for players trying to develop skills for this season and to prepare for competitive tryouts in June.

Mini Stars Camp

March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 — The Soccer Lot

9-10 am

Mini Stars Spring Camp introduces young players (2- to 6-year olds) to the game in an age-specific program. Players learn soccer skills like kicking, dribbling and throwing in the ball, but in a low-pressure setting. Mini Stars is designed to introduce soccer, not groom them for college. We will use soccer to help players develop and gain strength towards their physical development (gross and fine motor skills) and psychosocial development (interact, accept, respect).
